Baystars FC Futures Program
The Baystars FC Futures Academy is a developmental program for players between the ages of 6 through 10 years old. The main focus of this program involves individual skill development with the ultimate goal being to develop a passion for the game of soccer that will last a lifetime. The Futures Academy is comprised of 2 different programs (Futures and Futures Excel) specifically designed to meet the needs of the children based on their age, skill level and interest level in the game. Both programs are available in the Fall and Spring and typically cover an (8) eight-week period. The games will be on Saturday mornings in Williamsburg. Our United States Soccer Federation (USSF) certified instructors provide a challenging environment utilizing age appropriate training methods emphasizing technical/skills development. The details of each program are highlighted below to assist in helping parents find the right “fit” for their player.
Futures (Beginner: Ages 7-8) - Level 1
This instructional program is perfect for players with little to no experience between the ages of 7 through 10 years old. Players will be grouped based on gender and age level. The Future’s groups will train with a professional instructor twice a week for 60 minutes and play games on Saturday mornings. The games will be played in Williamsburg in a festival style format that provides a unique player development opportunity each game day.

Futures Excel (Intermediate: Ages 9-10) - Level 2
The Futures program is a newly formed program for players who are 9-11 years old. These players will be selected through an evaluation process and will be invited to play based on their abilities and interest level. Practices for the Futures groups are conducted twice a week for 60 minutes and players will play 7v7 games on Saturday mornings. There could be a tournament at in the Fall and the team could travel to Richmond for a tournament in the Spring.
