About Us

Welcome to Baystars FC!

Baystars FC hopes to provide and develop the game of soccer for the youth of the Middle Peninsula of Virginia and promote a safe and healthy environment to properly develop the soccer player in skills, sportsmanship and fair play.

Our mission is to create a positive experience through a highly competitive atmosphere of games and coaching by teaching all aspects of the game of soccer. We want to teach our youth the fundamentals of the game and improve their technical and tactical skills. Male or female, Baystars FC is committed to developing each player as an individual within a team environment.

The teams will participate in the Virginia Soccer League, Inc. (VSLI) co-ed travel league and participate in VYSA, Virginia Youth Soccer Association sanctioned tournaments. New this year is the opportunity for our U10/11 teams to play within the newly developing Peninsula Alliance league, which will limit their travel to the Peninsula area. If you have any questions, please call me at 804-693-9432 or e-mail me at rfisher@vims.edu

Sincerely,
Bob Fisher
Director of Coaching

League games and locations:
The fall and spring seasons generally last ten weeks, Sept., Oct & Nov./ Mar., Apr. & May. Our league games are played at the Bethel Elementary School and Peasley Middle School Soccer Complex. Typically, half the games are at home and half are away games played at other clubs' home fields in areas like Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Hampton, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake, Richmond, Fredericksburg. To reduce the amount of travel for our younger teams, U10/11 teams may play within the Peninsula Alliance League (PAL) which limits travel to only member club sights in the Peninsula area.

Practices
Practices are typically twice a week, during the weekdays at the Airport Soccer Complex, located next to Wal-Mart on Rt. 17.

Games
Games are at the Bethel Elementary School and Peasley Middle School Soccer Complex for both girls and the boys.
